day 1 completely raw May 22, 2007
by © elenawong
I did it. Absolutely no cooked food today. The fact that I spent most of the day out in the garden certainly helped. I was too busy to think about food. My front yard is almost ready for planting. In the last few days, I’ve put down about 25 bags of mulch, and pulled up about 8 compost bags of weeds. I’m exhausted, but I’ve still managed to keep up with my treadmill walking. - 30 minutes today. Tomorrow, I tackle the back garden. I’ll also get the vegetable patch ready for planting this weekend.
What I ate today
one green smoothie (spinach, dandelion, fruit, flax seeds)
an apple
a bunch of figs
a huge salad with spinach, romaine, pecans, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, olive oil, avocado and lemon. - fabulous!
more pecans
and a couple of flax crackers.
I also got a shipment today from Detox your world. My husband is bringing it home with him tonight. I purchased a couple of Shazzie’s books including the naked chocolate book. Perfect timing, as my raw cacao nibs also arrived today. I think tomorrow I’ll be making some chocolate
Also in the shazzie shipment was a few of her raw chocolate bars. I’ll probably eat one tonight. I think I deserve it
Anyway, weight today was 230 even! 16 lbs lost total, and soon I’ll be in the 220’s … hopefully tomorrow.

Oh! Exciting! You’ll have to let me know how you like the package from Shazzie. I’ve been wanting to order her books but I am up to my ears in reading right now, I figured I’d wait! Let me know if there are any yummy recipies! You’re doing great, I like your blog! You can visit mine at http://www.lindaintheraw.blogspot.com
Congrats on your first day 100% raw, you can do it!!
I’ll certainly let you know once I’ve had a chance to read them. I glanced through it briefly, but certainly not enough to give a recommendation (or not) - I did watch breakfast delights - the muesli is worth it.
Thanks for your comment - I’ve added you to my blogroll
