recovery day May 29, 2007
I really did need a day to recover from that horrific food I ate yesterday. I felt ill most of the evening last night.
Today I stayed raw, and I’m feeling much better. During the day I stuck with 2 green smoothies, and a carrot ginger concoction from the juice place at the mall. It was pretty good, but nothing compared to my homemade smoothies.
Tonight I made the Zucchini pasta with marinara sauce from Alissa Cohen’s book. I liked it, however it really looks like spaghetti, and I can’t get the thought out of my head that it should be hot. It throws me off and I have a hard time eating it. I ended up just having a bit, and then putting the sauce on some dehydrated flax crackers.
Later tonight I’m going to make some sunburgers for tomorrow’s dinner, and maybe a desert type thing as well.
I weighed in a bit higher again today (no surprise there) at 238.8 - Hopefully, the rest of my week will be good, and I’ll at least be back down to my update day weight of 227.2

Hi there..welli have been checking on with you for a month or so now and i think you are doing really well!! congrats on that…..you are doing so well and don’t get down on yourself..no one is perfect and we all have those days..and even though your body wasn’t craving those foods it was just saying feed me something cuz it was going through food withdraws!! keep up the good work though and keep up the awesome attitude!! i will be checking in for support and encouragement along your jounrney!!!

I think you’re right about the “feed me” cravings. I’ve been uncooking up storm here tonight, and more stuff soaking to make up in the morning. I’ve been so busy, and not overly hungry lately, so I don’t think I’ve been getting enough calories. That’s most likely the cause of my little binge yesterday.
I’ll definitely check out rawfoods.com.
