Raw Weight Loss

I’m going raw. Two pregnancies, and many, many pounds that simply won’t come off no matter the diet. Raw, simply feels right. I’ll be journaling my adventure here.

Busy working and …eating July 6, 2007

non raw, all junk. Well, not all junk….but a lot. I think I’m back up 225. My husband and I just realized how horrible we feel, and we’ve made a firm commitment to ourselves and each other to go back on raw food.

I’m still extremely busy at work, so it will be interesting to see how I can manage the kids, and 12 hour work days without going for the “comfort” food. - Thanks Anastazia for mentioning the raw challenge. I think that may be what I need right now.

I’m not too worried about the little weight gain. I’ve hopefully nipped this in the bud without it going too far.  After next week I’m going to be going on a road trip for a two week vacation to Nova Scotia. I’m bringing my laptop, so I should be able to update from the road.

More tomorrow with a weight and measurement summary…… eeeek.

You’re welcome! Did you join the challenge??? I had to drop out for this month, (destails on my blog, & posted at RFT about it) but am trying to do smoothies only right now, then go to juicing, the water fasting, alternating as I’m led (& as finances dictate! lol!)
I’m glad you & your hubby are aware of how the junk food’s making you feel & are ready to get back to doing what you know it takes to feel better & get healthier by the day! This is the time, when organic produce is abundant & more affordable, & the sun is shining!
I’m praying for your victory, & strength to resist the temptations we face daily, & that you will be a source of encouragement & support for each other!
    One day at a time!

    Hi,

I read your posts and wanted you to know that I am in the same place basically. Except that I eat raw, I haven’t lost anymore weight after the first 30 lbs. I startedout at 230 lbs and now I am 200 and I cannot seem to budge. Being raw has resolved many of my issues: I feel better, my insommnia is gone, my depression is gone, my IBS is gone.
I know the missing link is exercise…I have trouble motivating myself so there I am. Anyway I will make myself exercise and see if that helps with melting the pounds off. Also I can relate to comments about the glow, people keep telling me I look different that there is something different about me.
My name is Dea and I wanted you to know that I can really relate to your story. Hang in there, I know its especially hard to stay raw when u r cooking for a family. My husband and my step kids are not raw but have now transitioned to a mostly vegan diet..except for the 10 yr old who is stubborn and won’t let go of….hotdogs :) Anyway gotta run now, feel free to drop me a line anytime if you need support, blessings Dea
